Instrumental Study Abroad
Many young musicians can benefit from the experience of studying in a different country. The RPS Julius Isserlis Scholarship is almost unique in offering them the chance to do this. The scholarship fund was bequeathed by Cecilia Helen Northcote in the name of the Russian pianist, composer and teacher, Julius Isserlis.

The 2011 RPS Julius Isserlis Scholarship was awarded to double bass player Toby Hughes, with additional awards made to cellist Victoria Harrild and harpist Emily Hoile.
Toby Hughes - double bass
