Rosemary Johnson has been running the RPS since 1998. She has over 25 years experience in the arts and has a particular interest in new music, marketing and promotion. She has previously worked for English National Opera, the Society for the Promotion of New Music and Chester Music Publishers. 

She was a Winston Churchill Memorial Scholar in 1992, researching Composer Residency Schemes in the USA (where she met her husband!) and received a Classic FM Award for outstanding services to music in 2001. She is a former Trustee of the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival and is currently a member of the Cheltenham Festival artistic advisory panel.
