The Royal Philharmonic Society seeks to create a future for music by encouraging and nurturing the next generation of talented young musicians. We have funds to assist the purchase of instruments, enable British instrumentalists to study abroad, support outstanding young violinists and organists, and further study opportunities for singers. Composers under 29 can enter the RPS Composition Prize: two commissions in major venues are offered per year.
The annual RPS Music Awards honour a young musician or ensemble who have made a significant first professional impact during the year in question.
